Introduction

Gregory Maassen, Ph.D., manages technical assistance projects in developing countries. The projects are sponsored by leading international institutions such as the World Bank and USAID and typically focus on economic legislation, trade facilitation, judicial reform, good governance, capacity and association building, economic restructuring and land reform.

He was Chief of Party and Technical Expert for USAID in Afghanistan (LTERA Project, 2006-2009), Chief of Party for USAID in Macedonia (CGCL Project, 2003-2006) and Head of Office and Project Manager and expert (1999-2002) for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group in Armenia and Russia. He is currently a Senior Advisor to EMG with assignments in Washington DC, Iraq, Jordan, Indonesia and Uganda.
